Orange County SC has announced the signing of forward Milan Iloski from Real Salt Lake for the 2022 USL Championship season, pending league and federation approval. Brian Iloski, Milan’s eldest brother, has been with the club since 2020 and was an important part of last season’s historic USL Championship title winning season.
“I’m excited to be here in Orange County and can’t wait to play in front of the fans and chase another championship this season,” Iloski said.
Iloski, 22, signed a Homegrown Player Contract with Real Salt Lake in 2020 and spent time with the MLS team and their USL-affiliate Real Monarchs. He led the Monarchs with five goals and three assists in 18 appearances during the 2021 season which included a two-goal performance against Sacramento Republic FC. The brace earned Iloski a spot on the USL Championship Team of the Week – Week 8. He also made two appearances for Real Salt Lake in MLS competition.
“We are excited to add Milan, a young and versatile forward to our roster,” President of Soccer Operations Oliver Wyss said. ”Milan is a very talented goal scorer and we are looking forward to having him contribute significantly for us this season.”
Iloski was a standout like his brothers, Brian and Eric Iloski, for the UCLA Bruins Men’s Soccer program from 2017-2019 scoring 23 goals and six assists in 46 career matches. In his final collegiate season, Iloski scored a program-record five goals in a single match against San Diego State. That season he led the team with 17 goals and was named First Team All-Pac-12 and Second Team All-America by College Soccer News.
“I am delighted that we have signed Milan, who is a young player with experience in the league who is hungry to improve,” Head Coach Richard Chaplow said. “Milan adds energy to the group with the flexibility to play anywhere across the front line which will allow us to make adjustments to how we look from a team perspective. We believe there are goals in him and we look forward to him scoring those for Orange County.”
While in college, Iloski played for USL League Two sides Ogden City SC and FC Golden State Force. He has also competed for the USMNT U18 and U19 teams in his career.
Prior to following his brothers to Westwood, the Escondido, CA native played for the Real Salt Lake Arizona U17 and U18 academy teams. He established himself as a goalscorer and a distributor for assists for his teams. He was ranked as a three-star college recruit by Top Drawer Soccer.
This will be the third season where at least two of the three Iloski brothers will be competing in the USL Championship. Last season, all three brothers were in the Championship with Eric debuting for Las Vegas Lights FC. The last time all three brothers played on the same team was during the 2017 UCLA season when Milan and Eric were freshman and Brian was a redshirt senior.
Per club policy, terms of player contracts with Orange County SC will not be released.
