
Orange County SC has announced the signing of 24-year-old midfielder Kyle Scott for the remainder of the 2022 USL Championship season, pending league and federation approval. Scott most recently competed for MLS side FC Cincinnati.
The former Chelsea FC youth product was brought up through their Academy and featured for the Blues with the U18, UEFA U19 Youth League and U23 squads. He made his professional debut at Stamford Bridge during an FA Cup match during the 2018 campaign. Shortly after, he moved on a season-long loan to Dutch side Telstar. Scott signed with Newcastle United in 2019 before making the move to MLS last season.
Scott has represented three countries in international competitions all at the youth level including his native England as well as the Republic of Ireland. Most recently, Scott competed for the USMNT U18 and U20 teams.
He will be available for selection ahead of OCSC’s match against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on Saturday, August 6.
